Did you like the main characters?

Did you find the story interesting?

Was it as good as Gossip Girl?

Will you keep watching?

Basically, did it hook you or not?

Annie is upset because her back-home boyfriend Jason broke up with her.

Debbie & harry talk about what to do about Tracy (Naomi’s mom) and the fact that he just found out they have a son together, who was adopted.

The rival lacrosse team vandalized the school but harry insists that there will be no retaliation.

Ethan is trying to work things out with Naomi. He also talks to Annie, apologizing for everything he put her through last week.

Annie meets a cute guy named Ty who is also in the musical.

Adriana is acting weird in class.

Dixon know the team is planning some kind of revenge and wants in, but they don’t let him in on it because he’s the principal’s son.

Ty asks Annie out to dinner, she says yes.

Silver’s blog has a puppet video about Ethan cheating on Naomi, and now Naomi is really mad because everyone knows, and she smacks Ethan in the hallway at school.

Dixon and Navid are brainstorming at Dixon’s house, trying to come up with a good prank to play on the opposing team. Grandma gives them an idea involving pigs - something that Harry’s lacrosse team did back in the day.

Annie and Ty’s dinner date turns out to involve going on his private jet up to San Francisco, which she does without telling her mom.

Mr. Matthews asks Kelly Taylor out to dinner but in the process implies that her son is “baggage” and she’s turned off.

Navid’s dad is in the porn business and happens to have some pigs they can borrow.

Brenda (Shannen Doherty) shows up to meet Kelly at the Peach Pit! Something is said that implies that Brandon may be the father of Kelly’s son. Kelly wants to hang out more with Brenda.

The pig prank happens…

Naomi hooks up with George to get back at Ethan. Everyone finds out about it.

Annie is on the plane coming back from SF when she gets a message that her grandma, Tabitha, was in a car accident. Annie forgot she was supposed to pick up Tabitha’s computer for her, so Tabitha went out to get it and got in an accident. She’s ok, though.

Ethan and Annie talk, reminiscing about spending time together on the Fourth of July. Things aren’t going well with him & Naomi, he tells Annie.

Dixon confesses to the prank and says it was all him. Eventually Ethan and Navid cop to it, too, because they don’t want Dixon to take all the blame.

Adriana was at an audition but left before it was her turn.

Naomi and Silver have matching tattoos. Annie finds out that Silver had a secret (that her dad was cheating on her mom with her mom’s best friend) and she told Naomi. Naomi told people, and Silver’s mom found out everything. This is the reason Silver hates Naomi so much.

Adriana lies to Mr. matthews when he asks about how the audition went.

Annie’s mom finds out she went to San Francisco for dinner and is mad.

Ethan confronts Naomi about George . He breaks up with her.

Mr. Matthews (Ryan) stops by Kelly’s place to apologize for the stupid comment about her son. Brenda is there, and she offers to stay with Sammy so the two of them can go out.

Ty shows up at Annie’s house at night. Ethan was about to show up and surprise her but sees Annie kissing Ty, so he turns around.

The series premiere kicks off with the family in a red minivan, approaching their new home in Beverly Hills. Adopted son Dixon isn’t happy and keeps repeating “this sucks” and the family discusses the reason they’re moving - to take care of Grandma (Dad’s mom), an aging actress who can’t take care of herself anymore. The minivan pulls up in front of a mansion where Dad (Harry) grew up. The mom, Debbie, is a photographer. Grandma comes out to greet them and is obviously a heavy drinker, a snob, and a troublemaker…

Annie has a history with a guy named Ethan from a couple of summers ago. Currently she has a boyfriend back home named Jason.

Outside school on her first day, Annie sees Ethan and is about to go say hi when she realizes he’s “busy” in his car with a girl. Ethan Ward is the school’s lacrosse star.

Harry is the new principal. Kelly Taylor (from the original series, of course!) is the school’s guidance counselor.

Ethan talks to Annie about what she saw - Annie realizes it wasn’t his girlfriend (Naomi) that he was with in the car. Annie says don’t worry, I won’t tell.

Aspiring actress Adriana has a drug problem and owes a couple hundred by tomorrow.

Annie meets Erin Silver (Kelly’s little sister) who only goes by her last name. Naomi pulls Annie away, telling her that Silver is crazy and has a blog that she posts weird videos about people on.

Naomi invites Annie to her “not so sweet 16″ party, and also to go shopping because she says Annie needs clothes. They hang out at the Peach Pitt (Nat is there) and talk about a paper Naomi has been trying to get out of writing - turns out it is due tomorrow and she has to do it. Annie says she has a paper about the same book that she got an A on last year, she says Naomi can take a look at it to get some ideas and see what it’s supposed to look like.

Dixon tries out for and makes the lacrosse team.  Some guy starts a fight with him after practice.

Adriana steals Naomi’s purse at a club.

Annie confides in Dixon that she saw Ethan with another girl.

Harry has history with Naomi’s mom, who flirtatiously comes over with wine to welcome him and they end up telling stories about their past.

Ethan lies to cover for the guy who started the fight, saying it was Dixon that started it.

Everyone at school starts calling Annie “farm girl” because Silver posted a funny video about her on her blog. Silver was mad because Annie ditched her for Naomi the day before, and Silver hates Naomi. Annie apologizes, she didn’t mean to hurt Silver.

Harry knows that Ethan is lying but can’t do anything, so Dixon is off the team for starting the fight.

Annie knows Ethan lied and she confronts him, saying she thought he was a good guy but she was wrong.

Annie is shocked to find out that Naomi copied her essay word for word - they end up in the principal’s office where Naomi ends up having to write another essay on the spot to avoid the cheating incident going on her record.

Silver helps Annie go from scenery painter to member of the chorus in the school musical. She apologizes to Annie for the farm girl video.

Ethan ends up doing the right thing and Dixon is able to join the team.

Dixon had sent Naomi a text saying Ethan is cheating on her (Dixon wanted to get back at Ethan) but Naomi hadn’t gotten it because it was in her purse, which was “mysteriously” stolen.

Annie and Silver crash the party (Naomi had un-invited her after they got in trouble over the essay) even though Annie is grounded - she snuck out, and her parents figure it out.

Harry goes to the party looking for Annie, and Naomi’s mom sees him and says they need to talk. She tells him that they have a son together who she put up for adoption.

Naomi gets her purse back - Adriana says she was able to get both purses back. So now Naomi has her Sidekick back and she reads the text from Dixon.

Naomi and Ethan dance together at the party. She asks him if it’s true, and he doesn’t deny it. Annie feels terrible and she and Silver ditch the party and go out to the beach.

They see Ethan there surfing. She apologizes to him for letting his secret get out.

Kelly is home on the phone with someone (???) and we hear her say “He’s been asking about you…I can’t talk, he just came in” as her 4 year old son comes in, and she hangs up.

New 90210 starts tonight!

new 90210

We’re just as excited as you all are about the new 90210 (premieres Tuesday, Sept. 2, 8 pm/ET, CW), but like all members of the media, we’ve been unable to preview the pilot episode, so we have just as many questions as you do. Here’s what we do know. —Mickey O’ConnorHow exactly is this new 90210 a spin-off of Beverly Hills, 90210?
Well, it kind of isn’t; calling it a remake is probably more accurate, in that the character archetypes and plot (Midwestern siblings move to California and befriend a nerd, a goofy girl, a hunk and his girlfriend) are similar. The catch: It also includes characters from the earlier series. Though one draft of the pilot script revealed Hannah Zuckerman-Vasquez, offspring of Andrea and Jesse, to be the head of the high school’s station it’s Erin Silver (Jessica Stroup) who will carry the next-generation torch on the CW series.

Wait, who? Remember at the end of Season 2 of Beverly Hills, 90210 when Kelly’s mom and David’s dad improbably got married and had a cute little towhead named Erin? Well, Erin is now a teenager, a quasi-celebrity blogger who will play best pal to Annie Wilson, the new “Brenda.”

Which actors from the original series will appear on the remake?
As of press time, only Jennie Garth (Kelly Taylor), Shannen Doherty (Brenda Walsh), Joe E. Tata (Nat) and Ann Gillespie (Jackie Taylor Silver, Kelly and Erin’s mom) have signed on to appear on the show. Kelly is now a guidance counselor at her alma mater. Brenda, now a successful actress on the London scene, comes to town to guest-direct the high school’s production of Spring Awakening — as successful London theater actresses are wont to do…

Good old Nat still owns the Peach Pit, but it will look significantly different than the 1950s-style diner fans remember from the Fox show, as it’s now a soigné coffeehouse. Recovering alcoholic and drug addict Jackie Taylor Silver will appear on the show long enough to fall off the wagon, forcing Erin to move in with her big sister Kelly and 4-year-old nephew (more on him later).

Tori Spelling backed out of the show when there were reported salary disputes. Original Brandon Jason Priestley has expressed interest in directing an episode or two of the show. Luke Perry, Ian Ziering and Brian Austin Green have all stated that they wish the new show luck, but aren’t interested in cameos. Thus far, Gabrielle Carteris hasn’t gone on the record about the new show.

So then who is going to play the mystery dad of Kelly’s son?
On the new 90210, Kelly Taylor has an adorable, blond, 4-year-old son named Sammy. Which begs the question: Who’s the daddy? At the close of the original series in 2000, Kelly and Dylan reconnected at Donna and David’s wedding, but since Sammy’s birth would have taken place four years after that, it’s really anyone’s guess. Producers have said they haven’t decided on Sammy’s paternity yet, but the sentimental favorite seems to be Luke Perry’s Dylan.

Why are the Wilsons moving to Beverly Hills in the first place? While the Walshes changed zip codes because dad Jim got a new, higher-paying accounting job, the Wilsons move to Beverly Hills to take care of family matriarch Tabitha Wilson (Arrested Development’s Jessica Walter), a faded 1970s TV star — and an alcoholic — who can no longer take care of herself.

How do we put this? In the original series, Brandon and Brenda were fraternal twins. But the new siblings are, er…
Harry and Debbie Wilson (Rob Estes and Lori Loughlin) have a 16-year-old daughter named Annie (Shenae Grimes, who appeared on Degrassi and a 16-year-old adopted son, Dixon (The Wire’s Tristan Wilds), who is African-American. Theproducers emphasize that Annie and Dixon are best friends who will weather the adjustment to their new home together.

Who will date whom? Is there a love triangle of any sort planned?

Dustin Milligan, who plays Ethan Ward, kind of a Steve-Dylan hybrid, has confirmed that while he is dating Naomi Clark (Nip/Tuck’s AnnaLynne McCord) in the pilot, new girl Annie will also catch the lacrosse star’s attention. Early rumors have young English teacher Ryan Matthews (Ryan Eggold) either pairing up with guidance counselor Kelly Taylor or — gasp! — one of his students.

These days, doesn’t Josh Schwartz (Gossip Girl, The O.C.) have this beat covered?
Nobody will deny Schwartz’s talent for tapping into the teen zeitgeist, but 90210 has its own secret weapons in the form of co-executive producers Jeff Judah and Gabe Sachs. This talented pair also co-produced Judd Apatow’s critically loved Freaks and Geeks, which was an unorthodox, unflinchingly honest look on the abject cruelty of one’s high school years. Plus, it was smart, well-scripted, and very funny. Who better to ensure that the new show’s cheese levels remain under control? Because, let’s face it, at times the original’s earnestness reeked of Velveeta.

Who will our favorite character be?
After watching Jessica Walter tear up the scenery on Arrested Development, we just know that any scene with the melodramatic (and hopefully drunk!) Tabitha Wilson is going to be a little slice of trash-TV heaven. In the fantasy 90210 of our dreams, Tabitha is some delicious amalgamation of Piper Laurie as Sissy Spacek’s Bible-thumpin’ nutjob mama in Carrie and Joan Collins’ from Dynasty. Dirty pillows… and shoulder pads!
